Cute kid, but he looks upset about his costume dude! I feel sorry for the poor kid. You guys didn't spent much time coming up with something better and then send him out on a parade?

Don't apologise, the Q fits the photo nicely.

Cute photo. I hope he's not looking unhappy because he's just realised his whiskers are stuck on with superglue. lol

The costume does look kinda of "glued" on.....:) I would like to see his whole costume, maybe he was really upset about having to parade with that :)

Cute photo and I like the finger of another person trying to touch the whiskers. It was nice of Yahoo to have a Halloween party for their employees' families. Who is that guy in the stormtrooper costume? I might know him.

Ben looks pensive and 'Q'uiet - which is what photography should be about, capturing people's emotions. I'm sure that within moments he was back to being his usual noisy self! Well done Hinman. :)

What a cutie! He doesn't look too happy in his outfit.

Parents must be mindful how they dress their kids before showcasing them in front of the public such as a costume parade.

Those little guys have feelings too. It is not about bragging rights to have the best costume, but to do enough that the kids don't feel embarrassed. This is not good for their self-esteem. It may make you smile but at the expense of the poor kid. Another advice, don't dress a grown boy as a bunny. A baby maybe, not a boy.

I need to clarify before more misunderstood comment come forth in the post. My wife and I ask our youngster for outfit of their choice and Ben wants to be a bunny with a bunny hat, whiskers made from double tape from my sweetie and a bunny tail you don't see in the back. He loves the outfit but he is having a worrisome face as he is in a parade in a strange environment not known to him. He is a shy boy. If you click on the photo, it will lead you to the photo album. You have my words and that of my wife, we would not do things to please ourselves at the misery of our kids -- it ain't that way. The picture can be deceptive of what actually happens.

OK. Since we touch on the topic of kids' feelings. How do you know if your kids want to be featured on your blog? I just think I would not want my kids to be featured and shown to the world. Call me old fashion but I think kids deserve more privacy. It is interesting to me that you and your wife allow your kids' life to be revealed to the public like this. We are not your friends nor family, I don't think you are doing your kids any favors. Beside bringing smiles to you and your wife whenever there are nice comments from nice folks, maybe you could share your reasons?

I don't mean to be so critical and blunt, but I get emotional when it comes to protecting children due to past experiences which I am not going to share with total strangers.

I have been reading your blogs for awhile, yes, it is interesting but you do share a lot of information. we know what car you drive and its license plate number, the house you live in, where you work, what gifts you gave to your wife, the names of your kids and their ages, and you phone number from your business card. You may as well tell all of us your exact address in Fremont. Be careful Hin.
